Multiple sources are reporting that Philadelphia is considering numerous offers including Jeff Carter. If the Flyers do decide to trade Carter, he will likely be headed to the highest bidder.

RDS reports that Montreal GM Halifaxhab has been burning up the lines trying to fill his teams needs. Word has it that he seems to have been able to find other GMs willing to negotiate so we shall see if his moves prove to be helpful or not.

TSN reports that Columbus and an Unnamed Eastern Confrence team are extremely close to a MAJOR deal. Looks like Columbus will aquire a #1 centre. Darren Dreger was informed that the deal was not with Toronto, but Toronto may thank Columbus helping them out my lightening the load in there Division.

Rue Frontenac.com reports that the Canadiens have been very busy and seem to have made two significant deals and had a third all but complete until the other party backed out to make a much larger deal.
Contacts from the Bell Centre 7th Floor seem to indicate that the goaltending situation doesn't seem to be bothering the team any more as well they seem to have backed away from the search for a large Power Forward.
They also indicate that the targets for Free Agency have been identified and that they are obvious choices to fill the gaps but not who most would think they would be.

Columbus has Officially Aquired the #1 centre we've longed for. Waiting the trade freeze to lift is all thats left. We'd also like to state that asking for Brassard will get you no where, seeing as he is a big part of our deal.

Nathan Horton's tenure with the Panthers appears to be coming to an end, as the young right wing is expected to be traded within the next 10 days, reports the South-Florida Sun-Sentinel.
"It would not surprise me at all if he's dealt by the draft," Horton's agent Paul Krepelka told the paper. "If it happens, it happens."
