I personally think the rule makes no sense, why can't you sign and trade people?

I personally think the rule makes no sense, why can't you sign and trade people? The way we have it makes sense to me. No players ever get signed and immediately traded, but once in awhile they will get traded midseason. It causes less trades to be made right now, which is less fun, but it's far more realistic.

...unless you count the hossa arbitration and immediatley sent to atlanta for heatley. but ya other than that this is a little more realistic

I agree with you, but this league is about having fun and I wouldn't have re-signed the guys so quick but no one knew when free agency was going to start and stuff so I wanted to get them signed, Their's probadly alot of deals you should look over though, i dont think these are the only deals that violated that rule

if the other team inherits the contract you signed, then shouldn't it be fine?
